Wilma Sarah Bourdeau
April 17, 1943 - July 14, 2005
Wilma Sarah (Webb) Bourdeau, 62, of Danbury, devoted wife of Rodney L. Bourdeau, went home to the Church Triumphant on Thursday, July 14th, in the presence of her family. She was born in Danbury on April 17, 1943, daughter of the late William H. and Wilma (Smigala) Webb. She was a graduate of Immanuel Lutheran School and Bethel High School, Class of 1961.
Wilma was lovingly known to her family and friends as Billie. She was a woman of Faith who faced her eleven-year illness with a steadfast determination and inner strength. Through each struggle Billie knew that her Lord was always by her side. She was an inspiration to her family, friends and countless fellow cancer survivors.
Billie was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danbury. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who instilled a solid foundation in the Lord in her family. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and enjoyed expressing herself through poetry and watercolors.
In addition to her husband, Rodney of Danbury, her spirit will live on in her children, Jason W. Bourdeau of Danbury, Melissa Taylor and her husband, Robert of New Fairfield, Tania L. Porta and her husband, Alfredo of Danbury; her six grandsons, Connor, Ryan and Matthew Taylor, Alexander, Joshua, and William Porta; granddaughters, Katie and Laurie Porta; her brother, Herbert Webb and his wife, Lisa of Danbury; her sister, Barbara J.
