Grace Tomaino

Grace Tomaino, of Birch Drive, Bethel, died at the Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, October 4th at the age of 101. She was born in Calabria Italy on August 9, 1905, daughter of the late Ralph and Rose Tomaino. She made her home in the United States in 1921.
Grace was a loving sister and aunt who enjoyed being with her family. She will be sadly missed by her two brothers, John Tomaino and Armando Tomaino, both of Bethel; her four nephews, Robert and Richard Gimigliano of California, Anthony Scalzo of Bethel, and Richard Scalzo of Ohio; and her niece, Jean Scalzo of Bethel. She is also survived by three grandnieces and seven great grand nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Anthony Tomaino and her two sisters, Teresa Scalzo and Antoinette Gimigliano. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, Danbury, on Saturday, October 7th at 9:00am. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery will follow.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, October 6th between the hours of 4 and 7pm.
