Obituary of Rose V. Tomaino

Rose V. Tomaino October 27, 1910 - August 31, 2005 Rose V. (Gillotti) Tomaino, 94, of Maple Row, Bethel, devoted wife of the late Anthony Tomaino, Sr., died at New Milford Health and Rehabilitation, in the presence of her family, on Wednesday, August 31st. She was born in Danbury on October 27, 1910, daughter of the late Angelo and Anna Maria (Tomaino) Gillotti. Mrs. Tomaino worked as a presser for Arrow Shirt Company and the New England Shirt Factory on Montgomery Street in Danbury. She retired from the Revlon Division of Risdon in Danbury. She was a devoted homemaker and volunteer caregiver, opening her home to foster children through the Danbury Catholic Charities. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Roseanne Dardis of Bethel, Palma Pannozza of Danbury, Dolores Baldino of Meriden, and Charlene Braden of Bethel; her son, Anthony Tomaino, Jr. of Bethel; her thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, John Gillotti of Southbury, Louis Gillotti of Florida, and Benjamin Gillotti of Woodbury; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Jane Baldino. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 6th at 10:00am at St. Mary Church, Bethel. The family requests that family and friends meet at the church. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday, September 5th between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm.
