Frederick Raymond Valine
April 01, 1924 - January 11, 2008
Frederick Raymond Valine, age 83, of Springside Avenue, devoted husband of Catherine (Picone) Valine, died peacefully at his home on Friday, January 11th. He was born in New Fairfield on April 1, 1924, son of the late Herman August and Ellen (Swanson) Berguson Valine.
Mr. Valine was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army. He was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon. He worked for Florida Public Utilities for 17 years.
He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W, volunteered at the New Fairfield Fire Department, and was a constable of New Fairfield.
In addition to his beloved wife of 61 years, Catherine, he will be sadly missed by his sister, Eleanor Valine Morris and her husband, Joseph of Southbury; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by five siblings. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Tuesday, January 15th at 10:30 am with Rev. Carolyn Legg officiating. Cremation and interment will take place at the direction of the family.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Monday, January 14th between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
