Alice Mary (Flynn) Van Wagner

Alice Mary (Flynn) Van Wagner, 84, of Myrtle Avenue, Danbury, wife of the late William C. Van Wagner, died at her home on Monday, February 7th. She was born in Danbury on October 27, 1920, daughter of the late John and Ethel (Butler) Flynn. She was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1938.
Mrs. Van Wagner worked as a bookkeeper for Danbury Hat Factory. She enjoyed membership in the Fraternal Order of Eagles in New Milford. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Lynn A. Bricker and her husband Peter of New Milford, Cynthia I. Anderson of New Milford, and Kathy L. Collins of Kent; her seven grandchildren, Jeff Bricker, Kevin and Nicole Van Wagner, Megan Anderson, Rachel, Scott and Coty Reeve; her three great grandchildren, Jade and Justin Martel and Nathan Brandt. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Reynolds of Danbury and her brother, Kenneth Flynn of North Carolina; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her brother, Edward Flynn. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Friday at 10:00am with Pastor Barbara Dimando, Associate Pastor of Faith Church, officiating. Burial in St. Peter Cemetery will follow.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home on Thursday between the hours of 6 and 8pm.
