Josephine Esther Volpe

Josephine Esther Volpe, age 91, of Brookfield, wife of the late James Volpe, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, January 20th. She was born in Tuckahoe, New York on March 7, 1916, daughter of the late Luige and Esther Pomponio.
Mrs. Volpe worked as a supervisor for Audio Dynamatics Manufacturing in New Milford. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Brookfield. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and was a talented seamstress.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Frank J. Volpe of Brookfield; five daughters, Esther Volpe of Brookfield, Barbara Machado and Walter Hager of Newtown, Theresa Hendler of Brookfield, Francine Cuomo and her husband, Donald of Thornwood, NY, and Josephine Pelletier of New Milford; her four grandchildren, Ethan, Melissa, Fred and Jim; and one great grandchild, Justino. She is also survived by her two sisters, Ann Tino, and Susan Girolamo.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Johanna Volpe. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held privately. The Brookfield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
