I took care of Dr. Weeks at Candlewood. I had been gone for 6 months and when I returned, I went to see him and found that he had passed. I was devastated. As a nurse, I take of many wonderful people...but some become family in a sense. Though I was unable to know him when he was well and able to communicate, we had our own language. I was lucky to get to know the man he was through his wonderful daughters and family. Thankfully I was able to come back and visit early in September and he pointed at me and flashed that smile. "Ernie" will always hold a special place in my heart. Peace be with you.

When I was growing up in the Rockville/Vernon school system, Dr. Weeks was very active there. I remember him as a very kind and fair man; and I extend my deepest sympathy to all his family.

It was a priviledge to have worked for him while at the Branford Board of Education. It was an honor to have known him. He was a truly great educator and a gentleman. My sincerest sympathy to his family.
