Elaine M. Weston

Elaine M. "Peg" (Polglaze) Weston, 78, of South Main St, Newtown, devoted wife of William Weston, died at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, November 27th. She was born in London, England, on December 19, 1926, daughter of the late Alfred and Sue Polglaze. She served with the Women's Royal Airforce during World War II.
Mrs. Weston made her home in the area in 1957. She worked as a purchasing agent for Rapid Electric Co., Amphenol and Mosler Safe. She enjoyed bowling in both Danbury and Brookfield, played golf, and loved to knit and making crafts. She was an avid gardener of English style gardens.
She was one of the founders and organizers of the Danbury Ethnic Festival.
In addition to her husband of 56 years, William, she will be sadly missed by her son, Stewart C. Weston of Danbury; her daughter, Elaine S. Miller and her husband Bill of Cornwall; her three grandchildren, Sharon Sebastian, Daniel and Nathan Sadowski; her two great grandchildren, Mason and Ethan Sebastian. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Sheba. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held privately. There are no calling hours. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family.
The Cornell Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
