Joan L. Whitlock

Joan L. (Gardner) Whitlock, 72, of Claremont, New Hampshire, died in New Milford on Sunday, March 11th. She was born in Danbury on November 23, 1934, daughter of the late William and Janet (Fairchild) Whitlock. She was a graduate of Danbury High School.
In her younger years she worked as an EKG Technician and a C.N.A. at Danbury Hospital. She was the organist at Advent Christian Church in Danbury and also enjoyed teaching piano lessons in the Brookfield Area.
Upon making her home in New Hampshire, she worked as a C.N.A at Sullivan County Nursing Home in Unity.
She will be sadly missed by her three sons, Richard Gardner and his wife Georgia of Mountain Home, AR, Greg Gardner and his wife, Corrina of New Milford, and Brian Gardner and his wife, Renee of Brookfield; her daughter, Cynthia Corbett and her husband James of Washington, NH; her eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, William Whitlock of Unity, NH, Donald Whitlock of Bridgewater, Ronald Whitlock of Danbury, and Stephen Whitlock of Danbury; her sister, Arlene Ward of Brookfield; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Norman Whitlock and sister, Nancy Betts. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield on Wednesday, March 14th at 7:00pm. Burial in Central Cemetery will take place in the spring.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
