John P. Breen, PhD, 84, of Brookfield died Sunday January 3rd 2010 in Danbury Hospital.
He was a World War II veteran who served in the CBI campaign in Detachment 101. After the war, he pursued education degrees from UCONN. He served as an educator in communities in Connecticut and New York, and planned and launched four secondary schools. He also taught Computer Science at Western Connecticut State University.
John is survived by his wife Jean of Brookfield, sons Jack of Southboro, MA, Jay of San Jose, CA, Joel of Oak Creek, WI, and Jason of Norwich, their wives, eleven grandchildren and one great grandson. Additionally he leaves his sisters, Sr Mary Breen, of the Sisters of Mercy, Newington, and Sally Frost of The Woodlands, TX. Funeral Information
