Adella I. (Wentland) Williams, age 85, of Southbury, devoted wife of 64 years to Eugene S. Williams, Sr. died at Danbury Hospital on Friday, May 8th. She was born in Bristol on January 4, 1924, daughter of the late Robert and Emily (Rindfleisch) Wentland. She was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1942.
Mrs. Williams was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was a loving homemaker who devoted her life to her family and home. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her beloved husband, Eugene, she will be sadly missed by her son, Eugene S. Williams, Jr. of Thomaston; her two daughters, Rebecca Krestofetz of Brookfield, and Jamie Dixon of Marietta, GA; her eight grandchildren, Brittany, Spencer, and Nicholas Williams, Adrienne McBrien and her husband, Travis, Tyler Keur, Kara Krestofetz, James. W. Dixon III and his wife, Erin, and USN Petty Officer Paul Dixon and his wife, Micole; her two great grandchildren, Charlotte and Jason Dixon. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert Wentland and his wife, Marty, and George Wentland and his wife, Jean; her four sisters, Rufine Hein, Wilhemina Reaves, Caroline Haupt, and Frances Parker and her husband, Judd; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Wentland. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury on Wednesday, May 13th at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday morning between 10:00 - 10:45am.
