Janice Woodcock

Janice (Crowe) Woodcock, age 83, of Sandy Hook, wife of the late Kenneth L. Woodcock, died at Ashlar of Newtown on Thursday, February 19th. She was born in Dunkirk, NY on March 8, 1925, daughter of the late Frank and Alice (McGrath) Crowe.
Janice worked alongside her husband, at Woodcock Nursery in Ridgefield, and also worked at Shelter Rock School for numerous years. She was a loving and devoted mother who enjoyed volunteering as Den Mother for her son's Cub Scout Troop. She also loved to camp.
She will be sadly missed by her sons, Mark K. Woodcock and his wife, Wendy of Shelton, and Scott J. Woodcock and his wife, Maureen of New Milford; her grandchildren, Stephanie, and Summer Woodcock, Scott J. Woodcock, Jr., and Mandy Woodcock, Daniel and Michael DiCapua. She is also survived by her brother, Elvin Crowe of Silver Creek, NY; and her sister, Evie Carlson of Mayville, NY. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 26th at 10:00am at St. Peter Church in Danbury. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Wednesday evening between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00pm.
