Robert Yorks
November 22, 1957 - November 21, 2005
Robert Yorks, 47, of Hillside Circle, Brookfield, devoted husband of Sheila (Strempski) Yorks, died at Danbury Hospital on Monday, November 21st. He was born in Danbury on November 22, 1957 and was a lifetime member of the community.
Mr. Yorks served in the United States Army during peacetime. He worked as a property manager for Ridgefield Apartments. He enjoyed playing pool at the Disabled American Veterans in Danbury.
He was happiest when spending time with his family.
In addition to his cherished wife, Sheila, he will be sadly missed by his father, Fred Yorks and his wife, Charlene of Bethel; his mother, Gloria (Robson) Willcox and her husband, Pete of Florida; his daughter, Kelly Yorks of Brookfield; his son, Robert "Buck" Yorks of Brookfield; and his grandson, Evan Robert "Boogs" Yorks. He is also survived by his two brothers, Fred Yorks of Florida, and James Yorks of Bethel; his sister Barbara Farrell of Bethel; as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, November 25th at 7pm with Robert's dear friend Rev. Henry Whitmyer officiating. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family.
The family will received friends at the funeral home on Friday evening between the hours of 6 and 7:00pm. Donations Information
