Yang Yu, 46, of Elk Drive, Southbury, cherished wife of Zeren Wang, died at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, July 5th. She was born in Shanghai, China on May 12, 1960, daughter of Qizheng Chen, and the late Yongshan Yu. She received a Masters in Medicine from the Shanghai Medical University.
Yang worked as a scientist for Boehringer Ingleheim for two years. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved to spend time with her family. She was especially proud of her daughter's acceptance into Barnard College in New York City.
She was a member of the Danbury Chinese Alliance Church and enjoyed nature, cooking and gardening.
In addition to her husband, Zeren Wang, she is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Wang of Southbury; and her son, Cary Wang of Southbury. She is also survived by her two sisters, Ying Yu and her husband, Wei Chen, of Japan and Xiaohong Yu and her husband, Feng Qian, of Indiana; as well as her four nephews, Junyi Chen, Qian Qian, Kim Qian, and Kalen Wang. Funeral Services will be held 3:00pm on Saturday, July 8th Danbury Chinese Alliance Church at the Congregational Church of Brookfield. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family.
The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday between the hours of 2:00pm and 3:00pm. Donations Information
