Mary A. Zawilinsky

Mary A. (Bender) Zawilinsky, formerly of Waterbury, wife of the late Stanley Zawilinsky, died at Danbury Health Care Center on Monday, October 17th. She was born in Waterbury on January 22, 1921, daughter of the late Margaret (Jakubczyk) Bender and the late Alexander Bender.
Mary made her home in Waterbury most of her life and was employed by Scovill Manufacturing Company from 1966 until her retirement in 1977. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail (Zawilinsky) Fesh and her husband, Stephen, with whom she made her home for the past two years. She is also survived by her grandson Scott Vaiskauckas of Danbury; her brother, John Bender and his wife, Anna, of Wolcott; her sister, Estelle Skorvanek of Waterbury; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Stanley in 1985; her brother, William, in 1981, and her brother Alexander in 1996. Funeral Information
A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Friday, October 21st at 10:00am. Interment will be private.
In keeping with Mary's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Donations Information
