Arthur J. Zimmerman
January 16, 1912 - February 15, 2009
Arthur J. Zimmerman, 97, of McBean Dr., New Fairfield, beloved husband of Carolyn (Crocamo) Zimmerman, died peacefully on Sunday, February 15th, in the home they built more than 60 years ago. He was born in Danbury on January 16, 1912, son of the late John and Elisabeth (Szentgirgner) Zimmerman. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army.
Mr. Zimmerman owned and operated Danbury Upholstery Co. on Montgomery Street in Danbury. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard in New Fairfield.
In addition to his cherished wife of 68 years, Carolyn, he will be missed by his nephew, John W. Durkin of Brookfield. He was predeceased by his brother, John and his sister, Barbara Zimmerman-Durkin-Clark. Funeral Information
Graveside services will be held at Wooster Cemetery on Wednesday at 11:00am. There are no calling hours. The Cornell Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
