Obituary of Milton Anthony Brown

Milton Anthony Brown February 18, 1962 - June 02, 2005 Milton Anthony Brown, Jr., age 43, of Danbury, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City. He was the husband of Christine Barnes Brown and son of Milton Brown and Mary Alice Brown. Anthony, as he was known, was born on February 18, 1962 in Danbury and lived his entire life in this area. He graduated from Henry Abbott Technical High School and was employed as a Graphic Technician at Boehringer Ingelheim for the past twenty years. He also worked for Saturn of Danbury and Carole Joy Creations. He was active as a community volunteer, giving freely of his time and talents to the Hord Foundation, Hat City Youth Sports, and to other athletic and charitable causes. As a family man, Anthony was a strong supporter of all his relatives, young and old. He was a father figure and role model to all of his nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, parents, and step-mother Christine Saunders Brown, he leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Monique Elyse; one son, Ryan Anthony; one brother, Christopher Brown of Danbury; two sisters: Tracy Brown of Danbury and Colette Brown of Waterbury; one step-brother, John Arthur Saunders and one step-sister, Michelle Saunders both of Waterbury; his maternal grandmother, Fannie Perkins of Danbury; his mother-in-law, Rita Ward of Waterbury; sisters-in-law, Valarie Ward of Danbury and Yvonne Baldwin-Roberts of New Haven; brothers-in-law, Danny and Lamont Ward both of Waterbury; four uncles, four aunts, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. He and his wife Christine were "Special Parents" to his god children: Mercedes Ward, Samantha and Corey Clarke, and Danisha Saunders. Other special extended family in his life include: James Redmond, Alonzo Scott, Courtney and Desiree Clarke, Gary, Louise, and Zach Rusco, and Betty Bowman. Funeral Information The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 11:30 AM at the Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church, Danbury with the Rev. Mark Roderick officiating. Burial will be in Wooster Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday at 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:30. The Cornell Memorial, 247 White St., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
