John Noble Brown, 81, of Brookfield, CT., formerly of Swift Lane, Chatham, devoted husband of Jane (Hull) Brown, died at The Kent on Tuesday, September 21st. He was born in Boston on September 12, 1923, son of the late Waldo and Frances (Gray) Brown. He attended Milton Academy and graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in Michigan.
Mr. Brown graduated from V-5 Aviator Training Program in Pensacola, Florida. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Navy as an Aviator. He was a lifetime member of the Naval Reserve Association.
He was a former member of the Stone Horse Yacht Club in Harwich Port, and The Monomoy Yacht Club in Chatham.
He is survived by wife, Jane (Hull) Brown of Brookfield, CT.; his daughter, Nancy Knorr and her husband Klaus of Brookfield, CT.; his two sisters, Ann MacLure of East Hampton, and Frances Aeschlimann of Washington, CT.; and his two brothers, Paul of Duxbury, and David of Michigan. A Private Burial will take place at Milton Cemetery, Milton, MA. The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, CT. is in charge of arrangements. Donations Information
