Lois Burdick

Lois (Smith) Burdick, 96, formerly of Newtown, wife of the late Leon Burdick, died at Ashlar of Newtown on Wednesday, January 14th. She was born in Hartford on July 13, 1912, daughter of the late John Smith.
Mrs. Burdick worked as an accountant for Bardens Corporation of Danbury. She loved to travel and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her sons, Philip Burdick of Brookfield, and Francis Burdick of Danbury; her daughters, Sherry Powell of Torrington and Gail Niles of South Carolina; her twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sons, Alan and Dick Burdick; and her daughter, Fayleen Sauer. Funeral Information
A Memorial Service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brookfield on Wednesday, January 21st at 11:00am. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family. The Cornell Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
