July 20, 1953 - March 10, 2007
Mary Loretta Burke, age 53, of Danbury, died peacefully surrounded by her family present on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Danbury Hospital. She was the devoted wife of Rev. Val Burke.
Mrs. Burke was born in Alfred, FL on July 20, 1953, a daughter of the late George Pack and the late Bernice Davis. She moved to the Danbury area in 1972. Mary just loved being a Mom -especially supporting her children in their various sports activities. She maintained a home full of hospitality for her family and others. Mary was known to all as a loving and caring person.
Besides her loving husband of 37 years, Mary is survived by their 6 children: Christopher Burke and his wife Darnella of Meriden, Michael Burke of New Haven, Robert Burke of Waterbury, Valtman Burke, Jr., Antonio Burke, and Sabriana Burke all of Danbury; 2 brothers: George "Kenny" Pack and Clevon "Billy Pack" both of Danbury; 3 grandchildren: Safia, Mariah, and Eriq; and several nieces, nephews and friends. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2007 at 11:00am at the New Hope Baptist Church, Danbury. Burial in Wooster Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00am.
The Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
