Obituary of Jenny Lois C.
Jenny Lois C.
August 12, 1952 - December 21, 2005
Lois C. (Coffin) Jenny, age 53 of Secor Road, Brookfield, devoted wife of Peter D. Jenny, died at her home with her family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 21st.
Lois was born in Rome, Italy on August 12, 1952, daughter of Nancy N. Coffin and the late David R. Coffin of Princeton, NJ. She graduated High School from Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in Princeton, New Jersey and Graduated from Manhattanville College in 1975 with a degree in Education and Psychology.
Lois has lived in Brookfield for 21 years where she was active in education and Girl Scouts and has had a significant influence on the lives of many of our youth. She worked at Education Connection's Access School in Danbury where she taught high school English, and the Brookfield School system where she passionately tutored students who needed extra attention and support. When she wasn't encouraging kids to achieve greater goals, she was encouraging her many gardens to grow through her continued attention.
In addition to her husband of 29 years, Peter, she will be sadly missed by her children, David P. Jenny of Brookfield, Rebecca E. Jenny of Brookfield, and Victoria A. Jenny of Littleton, MA. Also, her Mother, Nancy of Princeton, NJ, and her siblings Elizabeth Coffin Allerhand of Nantucket, D. Tristram Coffin of Nantucket and Peter Coffin of Mendham, MA. Her extended family includes her mother-in-law Gerry Jenny of Southbury. Funeral Information
A Memorial Mass for Lois Jenny will be held at Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 11:00am, with a gathering of family and friends at her home afterward.
