Lillian Veronica Caram, age 97, of Laurel Ridge and Brookside Home, died on June 7, 2005 after a long illness.
Aunt Lil was born on August 12, 1907 in Duchess County, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anne (Faysal) Caram. She formerly worked for Federal Fur in Danbury as a supervisor in the Hattery Division. Aunt Lil also worked in the Housekeeping Department at Danbury Hospital. She also worded for DATAR as a "Loving Grandmother". Aunt Lil was a member of the Young Women's Syrian Lebanon Society and the Ladies' Guild of St. Anthony's Church. She was loved by so many and will always remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Upon her passing, she is survived by a sister, Alice Caram Armbruster and her husband Ludwig of Venice, FL; a nephew Michael Haddad and his wife Delores and their children: Michael Jr., Brian, John, and Sarah-Elizabeth all of Danbury; a niece: Anne Haddad Curran and her husband John and their children: Cody and Jory all of Waterbury.
Although Aunt Lil had many nieces and nephews, she will be sadly missed by Edward and Evelyn (Hajjar) Ellis and children; Norman Caram and children; Richard Caram and daughter, David Caram and family, Laurie Caram and family, Ned Caram and family, Thomas and Cindy (Caram) Cooper and children; Richard and Susan Hajjar, Michael and Karen (Hajjar) Elrich and children; Greg Hajjar, Lynn Hajjar and son; Elie and Joanne Hajjar and children; Albert and Joan Hajjar; Aaron and Kath (Caram) Olmstead and children; Chuck and Valerie (Caram) Truesdell and children.
Aunt Lil was not only and "Aunt", but she was a "Great Aunt" and a Great Great Aunt with many nieces and nephews who loved her. She was predeceased by her brothers: Nicholas Caram, George Caram, Edward Caram, Michael Caram and 3 sisters: Philomena (Caram) Hajjar, Helen Budda and Adele Caram. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 10, 2005 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Maronite Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 9, 2005 from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury.
