Santo Carilli
May 19, 1930 - July 27, 2007
Santo "Sandy" Carilli, age 77, of Standish Drive, Ridgefield, beloved husband of Marie F. (Artese) Carilli, died at Danbury Hospital on Saturday, July 28th. He was born in Astoria, NY on May 19, 1930, son of the late Vito and Grace (Pronesti) Carilli. He was a graduate of Iona College.
Sandy was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the United States Air Force. He worked for General Foods in White Plains for 32 years. He retired from Helicoil in Danbury were he worked as an information technology manager.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved being with his family. He was very artistic man who enjoyed drawing and wood working.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, Marie, he will be sadly missed by his son, Victor Carilli and his wife, Mary of Fairfield; his daughter, Jean Marie LaNoce and her husband, Joseph of New Milford; and his five grandchildren, Stephen and Christina Carilli, Alexandra, Joseph and Michael LaNoce. He is also survived by his brother, Frank Carilli of New Mexico; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, Ridgefield, on Thursday, August 2nd at 10:15am. Entombment in St. Peter Mausoleum, Danbury, will follow.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, on Wednesday, August 1st between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
