Dorothy "Dee" M. Carr, 94, formerly of South Yarmouth, MA., wife of the late Franklin Carr, died at Ashlar of Newtown on Wednesday, December 8th. She was born in Reading, MA on January 2, 1910, daughter of the late James R. Mercer and Agnes (Bartlett) Hodson.
Mrs. Carr was an executive secretary for E.F. Hutton in Hyannis, MA. She had also worked in administration at Middlesex School in Concord, MA.
An avid antique collector, she later owned and operated an antique shop in Reading, MA.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons, David Carr and his wife, Barbara of Summerfield, Fla., and Robert Carr of Medfield, Mass.; her daughter, Deborah Gardiner and her husband, Guy of Danbury; her four grandchildren, Pamela Mickewich and her husband Robert, David Carr and his wife, Julie, Richard Carr and his wife, Susan, and Christopher Carr. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Bruce F. Gardiner. Funeral Information
