Virginia C. Caruba of Danbury, wife of David Caruba, died on Sunday, October 17, 2004 at the age of 85.
Mrs. Caruba was born in Danbury on November 24, 1918, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Conchetta (Gillotte) Lemme. She was a graduate of Danbury High School and worked for 32 years for Risdon Manufacturing. Mrs. Caruba was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Danbury. An avid golfer, Virginia was a member of the Women's War Memorial Golf Association and the Richter Park Senior Ladies Golf Club. Her life revolved around her family, and Virginia lovingly cared for each one of them. She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first great grandchild this fall. Virginia was adored by her family and every life that she touched.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, Mrs. Caruba is survived by two daughters: Carol Taylor and her husband Russell; and Virginia Fay all of Danbury; 4 grandchildren: David and Mark Fay of Danbury; Lynn Taylor of Washington, D.C., and Dawn Jewell and her husband Brian of Merriam, KS. She was predeceased by all three of her siblings. Funeral Information
