Nicholas Caspare

Nicholas Caspare, 88, of Cannonball Drive, Danbury, devoted husband of Eleanor (DeGrazio) Caspare, died at Danbury Hospital on Tuesday, May 2nd. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 18, 1917, son of the late Frank and Victoria (Rinaldi) Caspare.
Mr. Caspare was a Veteran of World War II, proudly serving with the United States Army. He was a recipient of several medals for his service, including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
He owned and operated Frank & Nick's Bar and Grill in the Bronx for more than thirty-five years. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Lodge #6476 in Florida and was a Deputy Grand Knight.
In addition to his beloved wife of 59 years, Eleanor, he will be sadly missed by his daughter, Victoria DeNicola and her husband, Robert of Danbury; his son, Nick Caspare and his wife, Maureen of Larchmont, NY; seven grandchildren, Denise, Robert, Jr., Nicholas, Christina, Jacqueline, Sarah, and Megan; and his great grandson, Peter. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Casparo of Long Island; his sister, Victoria Pryjma of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Caspare was predeceased by his son, Frank Caspare. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 5th at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 4th between the hours of 2:00 and 8:00pm at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.
