Angeline Cavagna
March 22, 1914 - September 14, 2007
Angeline (Germinaro) Cavagna, 93, formerly of Beaver Brook Road, Danbury, wife of the late John J. Cavagna, died at New Milford Health and Rehabilitation on Friday. She was born in Danbury on March 22, 1914, daughter of the late Salvatore and Anna (Pascuzzo) Germinaro. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Danbury
Mrs. Cavagna worked at the Barden Corporation for 23 years and was a member of their bowling league. She was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Beaver Brook Fire Department. She loved gardening, was a "bingo-aholic," and loved wrestling (because it wasn't fake!).
Most importantly, she loved spending time in good company and cooking for her family and friends.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Shirley Czeiler (Anton) of Norfolk, VA, and Lorraine Pettitt (Charles) of Brookfield; grandchildren, John Carlo, Teresa Carlo, Dana Carroll (Reed), Patricia Purcell (Jerry), Sheila Pettitt, and Kristopher Pettitt (Elizabeth); great grandchildren, Lexy Carlo, Austin Carroll, Nathaniel Purcell and Michael Cahill. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Wildman of Bethel; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brothers, James, Anthony, Frank and Salvatore Germinaro; her sisters, Josephine Perusse, Grace Ruscoe, Rose Godfrey, and Carmella Scozzafava. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home on Monday between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm.
Special thanks to Nancy, all the nurses, aids and staff at New Milford Health and Rehab who loved her and took care of her like their own. You all had beautiful ways that touched our mother's life. You will always be in our hearts. Donations Information
