Cesare Cerminara
January 15, 1931 - March 27, 2004
Cesare Cerminara of Danbury, Connecticut, devoted husband of Francesca
(Butera) Cerminara, died unexpectantly on Saturday, March 27, at home at the
age of 73. He was born in Nicastro, Italy the son of the late Antonio and
Maria (Mercuri) Cerminara. He attended schools in Italy and came to the
United States in 1966 settling in Danbury.
Mr. Cerminara worked for fifteen years at Hellcoil in Danbury from which he
retired. He was also employed Castro Covertables. Cesare was Catholic by
faith and a attended of St. Gregory's Church in Danbury. He loved working in
his yard, gardening, and visiting with friends. He was also known for the
making of his own wine. His greatest accomplishment was the fact that he was
a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather (Nonno) and Uncle.
Besides his wife of 49 years, Francesca, he is survived by one Son, Antonio
Cerminara of Danbury. One Daughter, Maria and her husband Carlos Rodrigues
of Danbury. Three grandchildren, Deanna and her husband CPL Jered Kraszewski
of South Carolina, CJ Rodrigues of Danbury, and Trish Cerminara of Florida.
Three Brothers, Santo Cerminara of Austraillia, Vincenzo Cerminara of
Australia, Michele Cerminara of Italy. He is preceded in Death by both of
his parents and one Sister Caterina Stella. Funeral Information
The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the Cornell Memorial Funeral
Home, 247 White Street from 5:00 to 8:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will
be held at St. Gregory's Church at 10:00am on Wednesday in Danbury.
Entombment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery Donations Information
In honor of Mr. Cerminara donations may be made to The American Heart
Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492.
