Obituary of Lawrence D. Cohen
Lawrence D. Cohen M.D.
April 29, 1952 - June 29, 2004
Lawrence D. Cohen, M.D., 52, died peacefully on June 29th in his home in Danbury, after a short illness. He was well known in the community as a Pain Specialist at Advance Pain Care in Danbury, but more importantly as a good friend to many and as the devoted husband of Susan (Wong) Cohen and adoring Dad to Zoe and Libby.
Larry was one of three talented and individually special children of Helen Cohen and the late Jack Cohen. Raised on Long Island and professionally trained in New York City at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, he was a member of the Congregation Bnai Israel and a Board Member of Maimonides Academy.
Larry, in spirit and action, remained very much a child of the sixties who openly shared himself with his patients and his friends. He gave all of himself to those who knew and loved him. He leaves many friends, colleagues, patients, and family members who will not forget his energy, his joy of life or his belief in the importance of giving and sharing with others. His children possess many of his special gifts and will continue to carry on his joy of life. Funeral Information
