Anna Colnes, age 93 of Bethel, passed away on Sunday, November 4th at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Fred Colnes. She was born in Peekskill, NY on October 18, 1914, daughter of the late Pincus and Sarah Greenfield.
She and her late husband owned and operated a pharmacy in Peekskill, NY for 35 years. She retired to Del Ray Beach, Fla in 1986, where she lived until moving to Bethel in 2004.
She is survived by her three daughters, Susan DeRosa (Tony) of Bethel, Wilma Winer of Los Angeles, CA, and Dorothy Weiner of Danbury; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Meyer and Lawrence Greenfield; and her sister, Sylvia Eichner Funeral Information
There will be a service honoring Ann at the United Jewish Center, Danbury, on Tuesday, November 6th at 11:00am. Donations Information
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 96 Oak St., Hartford, CT. 06106 or Plant a Tree in Israel Program.
