Donald J. Corona, 52, of Driftway Road, Danbury, died at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, May 13th. He was born in New York City on October 5, 1956, son of Anthony, Jr. and Shirley R. (Pasquarella) Corona, of Danbury. He made his home in Danbury for most of his life.
Donald had owned and operated the restaurants "Dialtone" and "Thursdays." He was a supporter of many charities, including Ability Beyond Disability (DATAR), and the American Cancer Society. He often volunteered his time and effort their benefit programs.
Most importantly, Donald devoted his life to his family.
In addition to his parents, Anthony and Shirley, he will be sadly missed by his daughter, Amanda Corona of Danbury; his two brothers, Gary Corona and his wife, Christine of Brookfield, Anthony Corona, III, and his wife, Cristina, of Danbury; his lifetime partner, Janice Edmond, of Danbury; his niece and nephews, Sophia and Charles Corona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 18th at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, May 17th between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00pm. Donations Information
