Obituary of Frank E. Arents

Frank E. Arents Jr. December 22, 1937 - January 12, 2006 Frank E. Arents, Jr., 68, of Meadow Drive, Brookfield, devoted husband of Marilyn J. (Ebeling) Arents, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, January 12th. He was born on December 22, 1937, son of the late Frank E. and Dorothy (Loewenstein) Arents. Mr. Arents served honorably with the United States Marine Corp. He retired from Plessey, Inc., White Plains, New York in 1990 after working as Controller for 19 years. Most recently he worked as an accountant for Mitchell Oil until 2004. A resident of Brookfield for 23 years, he was a member of the Congregational Church of Brookfield. His hobbies included collecting trains, coins and Hess Toy Trucks. He was an avid fan of UConn Basketball. He was also a member of the Garden City Park Volunteer Fire Department while living in Long Island. In addition to his wife of 39 years, Marilyn, he will be sadly missed by his daughters, Nancy L. Arents of Boston, Massachusetts, Kimberly J. Rosa and her husband Peter of Brookfield; his two grandchildren, Matthew and Kyle Rosa. He is also survived by his aunt, Eleanor Loewenstein of New Jersey; his brother-in-law, Walter Jablonka of Long Island; as well as a nephew and several nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Peter, and his sister, Barbara. Funeral Information A Memorial Service will be held at the Congregational Church of Brookfield on Monday, January 16th at 11:00am. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family. The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Sunday, January 15th between the hours of 5 and 8pm.
