Catherine G. DelSignore

Catherine G. DelSignore, age 88, of Kendall Terrace, West, Danbury, wife of the late Henry DelSignore, died on Tuesday, May 19th at Danbury Hospital. She was born in Bronx, NY on September 15, 1920, daughter of the late William J. and Gertrude (Roche) Cassidy. She was educated in New York City, at the Academy of Sacred Heart of Mary High School and graduated from Grace Institute. She was employed in New York by Travelers and Phoenix Insurance Companies as an executive secretary.
In 1941, Catherine and her husband, moved to Danbury. Her last position was secretary at St. Gregory the Great School until her retirement.
She is survived by her son, John DelSignore of Ashland, OR; her daughters, JeanMarie DelSignore, and Anne DelSignore DiMauro and her husband, Dean, all of Danbury; her adored granddaughter, Nicole DiMauro; her sisters-in-law, Carol Jennen and Louise Franzetti, both of New York; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
During her life she was active in the Senior Center, volunteer activities and St. Gregory the Great Parish. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
We would like to thank the incredible people who made her journey through health and illness, bearable and joyful - Dr. Jarrett and his staff, Dr. Haoues-Brown and her staff; the angels of Regional Hospice, especially Melissa, Carolyn, Debbie, Juanna, Linda and Jane; CNA Martha; and Deacon William D. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 23rd at 11:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Saturday morning between the hours of 9:30 and 10:30am. Donations Information
Memorial Contributions in her memory may be made to Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, 405 Main Street, Danbury, or to St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury.
