Louise Regina Dickey-Burdick, age 71, of Laurel Hill Rd., Brookfield, lost her long battle with cancer on April 9, 2005 in New Milford. She died peacefully with her loving husband Paul and her family at her side.
Louise was born in Bethel on September 15, 1933, a daughter of Catherine Armbruster of Danbury and the late Arthur H. Taylor, Sr. She was a lifelong area resident and was a member of the 1951 graduating class of Danbury High School. She loved animals, enjoyed camping and was known for her frequent trips to Vermont.
Besides her husband of 34 years, Louise is survived by 3 sons: Robert Dickey and his girlfriend Katherine of Brookfield, Charles Dickey, Jr. of Butler, PA, Kenneth Dickey of Arizona; a daughter: Charlene Stone and her husband George of Arizona; 2 brothers: Arthur H. Taylor, Jr. and his wife Tomiko and James Taylor and his wife Hazel, all of Florida; 2 sisters: Catherine "Tootie" Bennett and Elizabeth Anderson and her husband Robert all of Danbury; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at 7:00PM at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Rd., Brookfield with the Rev. Eileen Freeman of the United Methodist Church of Danbury officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 in the afternoon until the time of the service. Donations Information
