Jay Doss, affectionately called "Doss" passed away Monday, August 3, 2009 after a brief illness in Danbury, Connecticut, he was 80. He was born in St Petersburg,Florida, June 19, 1929 and graduated from Gibbs High School. He attended Howard University and was drafted by the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean War.
After being honorably discharged from the Army, he moved to New York City and spent the rest of his life in the city that he loved. He opened Quantum Associates and served as its owner and executive director until his recent retirement.
His passions included a love of family, antiques, and fashion. Doss leaves to mourn his unexpected passing his beloved sister, Elizabeth J. Cook, of San Diego, CA, nieces, Patricia J. Cook, of Brookfield, Conn., Ingrid P. Chapman,
(William T. Chapman, M.D. of Bonita, CA), Charlotte E. Cook, Esquire, (Otto
Bird, Esquire of Rockville, Md.), nephews, great nieces and nephews, dear friend, Seung Ha and a host of friends and relatives. His loving and generous spirit will be greatly missed. Funeral Information
