Mr. Andrew J. Duff
November 27, 1928 - September 28, 2003
Andrew J. Duff of Fernbrook Drive, Brookfield, devoted husband of Sandra E. (Brown) Duff, died on Sunday, September 28th at Danbury Hospital, at the age of 74. Mr. Duff was born in Greenwich, CT. on November 27, 1928, son of the late George and Helen (Doeberl) Duff. He attended Greenwich High School.
Mr. Duff was a Veteran serving with the United States Coast Guard, Stateside, from 1948 to 1954. He made his home in the community for thirty-six years and retired from Marcus Dairy after twenty years of employment.
He was a dedicated husband and father, enjoying time spent with his four daughters. He loved Corvettes, especially his 1964 and 2002 Corvettes. He also enjoyed fishing, shortwave radios and reading. He was a self taught historian and local economist.
Besides his cherished wife of 38 years, Sandra, he will be sadly missed by his loving daughters, Sherry D. Duff-Cice, Laurie D. Duff, both of Brookfield, Wendy D. Johnson and her husband, Kevin, of Danbury, and MiMi D. Duff of London, England. He will also be missed by a brother, George Duff of Greenwich, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, James Duff as well as sisters, Katherine Carr and Mary McDermott. Funeral Information
A Graveside Service will take place at Central Cemetery at 11:00am on Thursday, October 2nd with a gathering at the Brookfield Funeral Home at 10:00am .
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 1st between the hours of 4 and 7pm at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield. Donations Information
