Helen Durkin

Helen (Clapp) Durkin, age 62, of South Lake Shore Dr., Brookfield, died peacefully at Danbury Hospital on Tuesday, April 29th, after suffering the complications of a chronic illness. She was born in Danbury on December 22, 1945, daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Curran) Clapp. She was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1963.
Mrs. Durkin was a devoted mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her son, Ian Durkin and his partner, Gary Pelletier of Bridgewater; her two daughters, Kim Weis and her husband, Bill of Brookfield, and Erin Durkin Zaccaro and her husband, Louis of River Edge, NJ; her four grandchildren, Emma and Alie Weis, Jack and Cole Zaccaro. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Gibelius of Ballston Lake, NY; as well as one niece and one nephew. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, at 11:00am.on Saturday, May 3rd.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00pm. Donations Information
