Fred Eber
December 24, 1913 - May 21, 2008
Fred Eber, of Linron Dr., Danbury, husband of the late Elaine (Bergmann) Eber, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 21st. He was born in Hamburg, Germany on December 24, 1913, son of the late Hermann E. and Sophie. He was a graduate of Northwestern University with a B.S. in Chemistry.
Mr. Eber was a Veteran of World War II, serving with in the Philippines and New Guinea as a Staff Sgt. in the United States Army.
In his early years, Mr. Eber worked as a research chemist for Durkee Famous Foods in Chicago and then Humko Products in Tennessee He also worked as an Edible Products Manager for Lever Brothers in New York. Most recently he worked as a realtor in the Danbury area for nearly 20 years. He started with 41 Realty in Bethel, then went on to work for Paul Rullo and Tom Lombardo at Century 21.
He will be sadly missed by his two sons, Wayne Eber of Danbury, and Ronald F. Eber of Tahoe City, California. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 28th at 9:00am at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury. Burial will follow in Middletown Veterans Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday May 27th between the hours of 6:30pm until 9:00pm. Donations Information
