Glenda M. (Fralic) Eirich, of Pocono Road, Brookfield, wife of Donald J. Eirich, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 4th. She was born in New York, NY on December 18, 1932, daughter of the late Reynold and Marie (Spohrer) Fralic. She was an active parishioner at St. Gregory the Great Church
Mrs. Eirich worked as a personnel administrator for Duracell in Danbury. She had previously worked as a cafeteria manager for Huckleberry Hill Elementary School and Brookfield High. She was a member of the Brookfield Chapter of AARP, and the Elderly Housing Commission. She loved to knit and was an honorary member of the Old Pueblo Knitters of Arizona, donating countless hats, booties and other items to the American Indians.
A loving mother and grandmother, she was happiest spending time with her family and her beloved German Shepherds. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, going on cruises, the beach, and traveling.
She will be sadly missed by her three sons, John Eirich and his wife, Mary of Boston, MA, Donald D. Eirich and Matthew Eirich, both of Brookfield; her daughter, Carolyn Laurentus and her husband, Eric of Woodbury; her five grandchildren, Robert, Valerie, and Julie Watson, Christopher and Kelly Laurentus. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Salerno of Arizona; and her two nieces, Susan Sverdlin and Lisa Salerno. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 9th at 10:00am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family.
The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Sunday, November 8th between the hours of 3:00 and 6:00pm. Donations Information
Memorial Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association.
