Arlene E. (Hopkins) Elsenboss, 85, of Elbow Hill Road, Brookfield, wife of the late Clark A. Elsenboss, died at Danbury Hospital on Thursday, April 6th. She was born in Danbury on December 9, 1920, daughter of the late Azor and Grace (Northrop) Hopkins. She was a graduate of Bethel High School, Class of 1938.
Mrs. Elsenboss was a member of the Congregational Church of Brookfield. She and her late husband, Clark, were avid square dancers. They also enjoyed riding their motorcycle and were members of the Danbury Dusty Riders Motorcycle Club in the 1950's.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Andrew Elsenboss and his wife, Donna of Statesville, NC.; her two daughters, Barbara R. Smith of Brookfield, and Judy A. Mitchell of Orange; her grandchildren, Clint and Craig Elsenboss, Clark Smith, Matthew, Brian and Pamela Mitchell, and Helena Buynak; she is also survived by five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Elmer Hopkins. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Monday, April 10th at 12:00pm. Burial in Central Cemetery will follow.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 9th between the hours of 5 and 7pm.
