Nancy L. Elwood, of Federal Road, Brookfield, died at New Milford Hospital on Tuesday, October 10th. Nancy was the devoted daughter of the late Wesley A. and Dorothy (Caldwell) Elwood of Brookfield. She was born in Danbury on October 10, 1945.
Nancy attended the Brookfield Consolidated School and graduated from Danbury High School in 1963. SH worked in the family business, Wesley A. Elwood Manufacturer of Well and Drain Tile until it closed in 2002.
She was a talented knitter and crotchetier. She was a member of the Metichewan Grange #190 and the Congregational Church of Brookfield. She was a lifetime member and past treasurer of the Central Cemetery Association Board.
She is survived by her cousins, Charles Caldwell of New Fairfield, Louis Caldwell of Virginia, Diane Caldwell of New Milford, and Janet Cover of Canton; her stepson, Vincent Campbell of New Milford; and her three step grandchildren. She is also survived by many dear friends. Funeral Information
Services will be held at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield on Saturday, October 14th at 11:00am with Rev. David Buchan of the Brookfield Congregational Church officiating. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery
The family will receive friends at the funeral home between the hours of 10:00 and 11:00am. Donations Information
