Angela (Archiere) Fairchild
March 12, 1912 - February 05, 2004
Angela G. (Archiere) Fairchild, 91, of Main Street, Danbury, wife of the late Clarence B. Fairchild, died on Thursday at Candlewood Valley Health Care Center in New Milford. She was born in Danbury on March 12, 1912, daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Ann (Spano) Archiere. She attended Locust Avenue and White Street Schools.
As a young woman Mrs. Fairchild was employed by several of the Danbury Hat Factories. She later retired as a machine operator for American Radionics when the plant closed in the early 1970's. She was past President of the Beaver Brook Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Fairchild will be sadly missed by a son, Alan Fairchild and his wife, Pat, of Brookfield; a daughter, Janet McCutcheon and her husband, Hugh of New Milford; grandchildren, Joseph and Tammy Fairchild, Robert and Diana Fairchild, Cynthia Dineen, Bonnie McCutcheon, Brenda and Alan Lounsbury, John McCutcheon, and Melissa and John Daniels. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Nicole, Kristin and Jaimie Fairchild, Andrew, Jessica and Amy Dineen, Vincent and Hunter Fairchild, Jeremiah and Chloe Lounsbury and Taylor Daniels; as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury on Monday, February 9th at 7:00pm, with the Reverend Dr. Thomas H. Lounsbury of Lighthouse Ministries officiating. A Spring Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel.
The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening between the hours of 5 and 7pm.
