Susie (Holic) Fako
April 21, 1907 - March 23, 2004
Susie, (Holic) Fako, formerly of Stratton Place, Danbury, wife of the late Paul Fako, Sr., died on Tuesday, March 23rd, at Riverglen, Southbury, at the age of 96. She was born in Danbury on April 21, 1907, daughter of the late Stefan and Anna (Podmierski) Holic. As an infant she returned to Tura Lura Myjava Slovakia and was educated there.
She returned to the Danbury Community at the age of 17. She was employed as a domestic until she married then worked in various hatting facilities. She retired from Branson Ultrasonic as an assembler at the age of 65.
Mrs. Fako was a member of St. Paul's Slovak Lutheran Church in Danbury. She loved her Bible and was a devoted Christian. She was a friendly, outgoing person who enjoyed membership in the Sokol Club, and was the financial secretary for the Ladies Aid Society of St. Paul's.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Paul Fako, Jr. and his wife, Florence, of Southbury; her grandson, William Wiedergott, II, of Northboro, MA.; five great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Samko Holic of Slovakia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Slovak Lutheran Church, Spring Street, Danbury, on Saturday, March 27th at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St. Danbury on Friday, March 26th between the hours of 5 and 8pm. Donations Information
