Richard Z. Awlasewicz

Richard Z. Awlasewicz, 65, of Brookfield, died at Candlewood Valley Health Center, New Milford, on Saturday, April 29th. He was born in Poland on November 28, 1940, son of the late Norbert and Nettie (Chepielewich) Awlasewicz.
He was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the United States Army. He worked as an engineer for Pitney Bowes for more than fifteen years. He loved to drive and fix German cars and enjoyed playing golf.
He will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Anna Lane and her husband, Kelly of Brookfield, and Ula Awlasewicz of New Milford; his son, Thomas Awlasewicz and his wife, Luanne of Roxbury; his four grandchildren, Nicole, Olivia, Joey and Kylie. He is also survived by two brothers, Anthony of South Salem, NY, and Norbert of Darien; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 3rd at 10:00am at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church in Brookfield. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery, Brookfield.
The Family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 2nd between the hours of 5 and 9:00pm.
