Jean Fenwick

Jean Fenwick, age 89, died on December 14, 2010 at her home in New
Fairfield. She was the wife of the late William Fenwick, Jr. She was
born in New Fairfield on April 4, 1921, a daughter of the late Nicholas
and Janet (Birrel) Define.
Mrs. Fenwick served the community all her life. She was a volunteer
for the American Red Cross and for Hospice of Western Connecticut; a
member of RSVP and the Community Service Club, and was an active member
of the New Fairfield Congregational Church. In 1965 she became a
Justice of the Peace who diligently carried out the duties of office.
She is survived by a son: William F. Fenwick, III and his wife, Diane,
of Danbury; a daughter: Suzanne E. Petro and her husband, Michael of
Windsor Locks; a granddaughter: Robin L. Veit and her husband, John;
and 3 great grandchildren: Jessica, Alex and James. She was
predeceased by 2 brothers: Roxie and William and a sister, Doris. Funeral Information
The Funeral Service will be held at the Congregational Church of New
Fairfield on Thursday, December 16 at 11:00am. Reverend Patricia
Nicholas, Pastor, will officiate. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery
will follow. There are no calling hours. The Cornell
Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury is in charge of arrangements Donations Information
