Antonio (Tony) Ferreira
January 09, 1939 - January 25, 2005
Antonio "Tony" Ferreira, 66, of Liberty St., Danbury, devoted husband of Nair (Garcia) Ferreira, died at his home on Tuesday, January 25th. He was born in Gouveia, Portugal, on January 9, 1939, son of the late Manuel and Eduarda (DeSouza) Ferreira. He has made his home in the community for more than thirty years.
Tony worked for the City of Danbury as a truck driver. He was a member of Teamsters Local 677. He was a skilled marksman, and enjoyed going to the casino.
Tony will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed.
In addition to his wife, Nair of Danbury, he is survived by two sons, Mark and Brian Ferreira, both of Danbury; his stepdaughters, Maria Braga, Alcione Ferreira, and Andreia Ferreira, all of Danbury; his two grandchildren, Michelle Lopes and Albert Ferreira Oliva. He is also survived by two brothers, Orlando Ferreira and Jose Ferreira; his sister, Maria Ferreira, all of Danbury. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, at 11:00am on Friday, January 28th. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services between 10 and 11:00am at the funeral home.
