Clifford A. Finkle

Clifford A. Finkle, age 81, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of 7 Country Ridge Road, Danbury, husband of the late Arlene (Derbyshire) Finkle, died on January 20th at his home. He was born on November 8, 1927, son of the late Arthur J. Finkle, who served as Mayor of Danbury in the early 1950's and the late Ruth (Taylor) Finkle.
Mr. Finkle was a graduate of Suffield Academy. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Navy as a Medic on the USS Dayton. He was a senior vice president of the former Union Trust Bank in Danbury and served as treasurer for the Scott Fanton Museum for fifteen years.
He is survived by his two sons, Clifford A. Finkle, and his wife, Marie of Torrington, Kevin B. Finkle and his wife, Doreen of Medina, MN; his three grandchildren, Clifford, Ryan and Rachel Finkle; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was a dedicated Christian who cherished his family and his relationship with God. Funeral Information
Memorial Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, at 1:00pm on Saturday. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home between 12:00 and 1:00pm.
