Vivian Gertrude Finkle, age 82, of Danbury died on Saturday, May 14, 2005 in Waterbury. She was the wife of the late Cornelius Finkle.
A lifelong Danbury resident, Mrs. Finkle was born on November 9, 1922, a daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude (Squires) Webb. She will always be remembered for her generosity and acts of kindness to everyone she met. Mrs. Finkle was devoted to her family and enjoyed her roles as wife, mother, and most of all grandmother. She always remembered the special occasions of each of her grandchildren and her home was the center of all celebrations.
She is survived by four children: Vivian Lang and her husband Charles of Bethel; Arthur Finkle and his wife Evelyn of Pittsford, NY; Christian Finkle and his wife, Wendy of Danbury; and Carol Charles and her husband Alan of New Milford; ten grandchildren: Sharon, James, and Kevin Crowley; John, Mandy, and Kimberly Finkle; Candace Moniz, Jennifer Finkle, and Melissa Rodriguez; and Sean Charles; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 in the morning until the time of service at 11:00. Donations Information
