Obituary of Ruth Fitch

Ruth (Ganz) Fitch May 14, 1948 - May 31, 2006 Ruth (Ganz) Fitch, 58, of Woods Way, New Fairfield, devoted wife of John W. Fitch, died at Danbury Hospital on Wednesday, May 31st after a brief illness. She was born in Bennington, Vermont on May 14, 1948, daughter of the late Paul and Eula (Manes) Ganz. Ruth was a loving mother who joyfully dedicated herself to her husband and children. She was a sweet and caring person who was known for her gentle nature and willingness to give of herself. Her family and friends will remember her for the countless baby blankets she crocheted for the new arrivals. She loved and nurtured everyone she knew. She was a past member of the New Fairfield Athletic Booster Club. In addition to her husband of 34 years, John, she will be sadly missed by her son, Peter J. Fitch of Brookline, MA.; her daughter, Kate F. Caron and her husband, David, of West Chester Ohio. Funeral Information The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, June 4th between the hours of 5 and 7pm. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family.
