Terrence J. Fitzsimons, age 70, of Cedar Street, Danbury, beloved husband of Anna Marea (Fox) Fitzsimons, died peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, at Danbury Hospital on Friday, May 15th. He was born in Manhattan, NY on December 12, 1938, son of the late Peter and Alice (Collins) Fitzsimons. He was a graduate of Manhattan College.
Mr. Fitzsimons worked as a banker for Chase Manhattan in New York for more than thirty years. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Danbury, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an active man who loved going to the Cardiac Rehab Center at Danbury Hospital and walked four miles a day. He also enjoyed traveling to Ireland to visit family.
A devoted family man, he will be sadly missed by his wife, Anna; his cherished son, Colin Michael Fitzsimons of Danbury; and his sister, Margaret Fitzsimons of Danbury. He is also survived by his cousins, James Dunne and his wife, Gloria, Alice McMahon, and Andrew Dunne and his wife, Patricia; as well as many cousins in Ireland. Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 18th at 11:30am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, May 17th between the hours of 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00pm. Donations Information
